NaniBoo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page explains our standards, what we prohibit, how to report a concern, and how we respond.

Our commitment

NaniBoo is a community app for adults. We connect people who are looking for friendships, family-to-family connections, activity partners, Grand Friends, and local community.

Any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or grooms a child is strictly prohibited on NaniBoo. We prohibit it regardless of intent, framing, or context, and we act on it without exception.

Who may use NaniBoo

NaniBoo is available to adults aged 18 and over. Users must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Children may not create NaniBoo accounts or maintain profiles on the platform.

Parents and families use NaniBoo on behalf of their household. Any reference to children within a family profile is provided by the responsible adult, and we ask users to share as little identifying information about minors as possible.

What is prohibited

The following are prohibited on NaniBoo and will result in immediate account termination:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, links, or references
  • Sexualization of a minor, including suggestive descriptions, comments, or imagery
  • Grooming behavior, including attempts to build trust with a family in order to gain access to a child
  • Requesting contact with a child outside the platform, requesting images of a child, or requesting unsupervised time with a child
  • Encouraging a child or family to keep communications secret from other adults
  • Soliciting personal information about a child, including school, schedule, or location
  • Creating an account while under the age of 18
  • Impersonating a family, a parent, or a caregiver
  • Any other conduct that endangers or exploits a minor

This list is not exhaustive. We act on any behavior that puts a child at risk.

How we verify accounts

We want users to understand exactly what our verification does and does not cover.

What we do: Every NaniBoo account is verified by phone number or email address before the user can access the platform.

What we do not do: NaniBoo does not perform criminal background checks, identity document verification, or reference checks on users. A verified account confirms a working phone number or email address. It does not confirm that a person is who they claim to be, and it is not a safety endorsement.

We state this plainly because families deserve accurate information when deciding whom to meet. We encourage all users to take time before sharing personal details, to meet new people in public places first, and to use the same judgment they would use when meeting anyone new. Families who wish to run their own background check on someone they plan to meet should do so.

How to report a concern

In the app: Every user profile includes Report and Block options. Reports are sent directly to us for review.

By email: You can contact us at any time at mail@naniboo.com. Please include the username or profile involved, a description of what happened, and any relevant dates. If you have screenshots, please attach them.

You do not need to be certain that something is wrong in order to report it. If something feels off, tell us and let us look into it.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement by calling 911 first.

You can also report directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) at CyberTipline.org or by calling 1-800-843-5678.

How we respond

Reports concerning child safety are prioritized above all other reports.

  1. Review. Reports are reviewed by NaniBoo LLC. Marc Schroeder, Founder and CEO, is our designated point of contact for child safety matters and is responsible for reviewing and acting on these reports.
  2. Immediate action. Where there is a credible concern, we suspend the account immediately, before the review is complete. We do not wait for certainty before protecting a family.
  3. Preservation. We preserve relevant account data and communications as required by law.
  4. Reporting to authorities. Apparent child sexual abuse material and apparent violations involving child sexual exploitation are reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, as required under U.S. federal law. Where appropriate, we cooperate with law enforcement.
  5. Permanent removal. Accounts found to have violated these standards are permanently terminated. We take steps to prevent the same person from returning to the platform.

We do not offer appeals for accounts terminated for child safety violations.

Prevention

Beyond responding to reports, we work to reduce risk:

  • NaniBoo is restricted to adults aged 18 and over
  • New users see safety guidance during onboarding, including guidance on protecting personal information and meeting in public places
  • Messaging is private between two parties, and either party can block the other at any time
  • We are explicit in our product and our marketing that NaniBoo does not perform background checks, so that families make informed decisions

We continue to develop our safety tooling as the platform grows, including expanded reporting options within the app.
