PetLiri Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PetLiri, operated by NaniBoo LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the PetLiri mobile application and related support pages.

1. What PetLiri does

PetLiri lets you select a pet photo and mood, generate AI captions inspired by the photo, choose or customize a caption, save moments, and share finished images through your device’s sharing options.

2. No account required

PetLiri does not require an account, username, password, or sign-in.

Subscription management uses a randomly generated app user identifier. This identifier helps manage purchases and does not require you to provide your name or email address.

3. Information stored on your device

PetLiri stores information locally to provide its features, including:

  • Your pet’s name, type, and selected gender.

  • Saved moments, captions, and selected moods.

  • Photos or references to photos used in your moments.

  • Free-use status and app preferences.

  • App-store review access status, where applicable.

This local information is not automatically synchronized to a PetLiri cloud account. Information sent for AI caption generation is described below.

4. Photos and AI caption generation

PetLiri uses OpenAI to analyze selected photos and generate captions.

Before generating AI captions, the app asks for your consent to send a smaller copy of your selected photo and your pet’s details for this purpose.

When you request AI captions, the following information is transmitted to our server and then to OpenAI:

  • A resized copy of your selected photo.

  • Your pet’s name, type, and selected gender.

  • Your selected mood and instructions needed to generate captions.

The photo is also checked to determine whether it contains an animal. AI results may be inaccurate.

Our caption service does not intentionally save uploaded photos or generated captions as a server-side collection. Saved moments remain on your device unless you export or share them.

OpenAI may retain request and response content in abuse-monitoring logs for up to 30 days by default. Longer retention may apply where legally required or necessary for safety, including certain flagged image reviews. PetLiri therefore does not promise immediate deletion or zero retention by OpenAI.

OpenAI API content is not used to train OpenAI models by default. We do not opt in to sharing PetLiri caption requests for model training.

You can decline the upload consent. AI caption generation will then be unavailable.

5. Camera, photo access, and permissions

PetLiri uses your camera when you choose to take a photo and your device’s photo-selection tools when you choose an existing image. Your operating system may request permission for these actions or for saving images.

PetLiri does not request microphone access or permission to draw over other apps for its caption features.

You can manage permissions in your device settings.

6. Sharing

When you share a finished image, PetLiri opens your device’s sharing interface. You choose the recipient or service.

Copies sent to another person or service are subject to that recipient’s or service’s privacy practices. Deleting a moment from PetLiri does not delete those shared copies.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

Purchases are processed by Google Play or Apple’s App Store. PetLiri does not receive your full payment-card details.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status, purchase entitlements, and purchase restoration. RevenueCat processes purchase history, transaction information, a randomly generated app user identifier, and relevant app and device information.

We use this information to provide paid features, restore purchases, and understand subscription performance.

8. Technical information and abuse prevention

Our server receives your IP address when you request AI captions.

The caption service creates a hashed identifier from the IP address to enforce usage limits and prevent abuse. Usage counters are retained temporarily and scheduled for periodic cleanup.

Our hosting provider may also process technical connection information, including IP addresses and request logs, to operate and secure the service. These records follow the provider’s retention practices.

We do not use this information to determine your precise location.

9. Advertising

PetLiri does not display third-party advertising, sell personal information, or use your photos for advertising.

10. Children’s privacy

PetLiri is intended for adults age 18 and over and is not directed to children.

If you believe a child has submitted personal information through PetLiri, contact mail@naniboo.com so we can investigate and address the request.

11. Retention, deletion, and your choices

You can remove locally stored PetLiri information by clearing the app’s storage or uninstalling the app. Exported images in your photo library must be deleted separately. Device backups may retain copies according to your backup settings.

To request deletion of information held by us or our service providers, email mail@naniboo.com with the subject “PetLiri data deletion.” Describe the information concerned and, where relevant, the approximate date of the request or purchase. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details.

Because PetLiri has no user accounts, additional information may be needed to locate and verify relevant records. We will explain what we can identify and delete.

Some security, transaction, or legal records may need to be retained. OpenAI’s retention practices are described in Section 4. Google Play, Apple, and RevenueCat may retain purchase records for their legal and operational requirements.

Deleting app data does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel subscriptions through Google Play or your Apple account.

12. Security and international processing

Photo and caption requests are transmitted using HTTPS encryption. We use reasonable measures to protect information, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate.

13. Service providers

PetLiri relies on providers including:

  • OpenAI for photo analysis and caption generation.

  • RevenueCat for subscription management.

  • Apple and Google for app distribution and purchases.

  • IONOS for website and backend hosting.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as PetLiri’s features or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above.
